The weather in January is usually nice, with temperature around 10-15 Celsius. Local weathercan be checked at the Hong Kong Observatory website. Hong Kong is an international metropolitan, and English and Mandarin are widely understood and spoken. There are numerous money exchangers (with one right at the University Train Station). 1 US dollar is about 7.8 HK dollars.
